Yesterday.

Tuesday's clothes.

I like that clothes usually have stories behind them. I’ve noticed that when people receive compliments about what they’re wearing, they often, if not most of the time, mention where/how/when/for how much they got it.  It’s fun.

I think this outfit, which I wore yesterday has a pretty good story. I submit the following:

Shoes: New flats from Target which were way overdue. See this post to see what I mean. They were $12! And they sparkle in a perfectly subtle way.

Pants: This is quite possibly the best deal I’ve ever found. $11 for not-quite-skinny corduroys. Here’s the best part: THEY ARE FROM BANANA REPUBLIC. I am way too poor to ever afford stuff from this place so, it’s kind of a big deal. On a sidenote: the day I bought these I was babysitting for my boss and she told me she bought the same ones for the same price. See? A good story.

Shirts: The white shirt is from Target. Nothing special. Just something on clearance that I knew I’d wear all the time. Tank top underneath is a cool striped thing that my roommate gave to me last summer. Traveling clothes. More stories

Vest: Salvation army find. Seriously, this thing cost me PENNIES. I’d wanted a vest forever and finally found one last fall. I’m pretty sure vests are out of style because I waited so long to get one but I do not care because I’m just so glad to finally own it.

Scarf: This scarf has already been featured once on the blog. I got it from a loud, colorful, under-the-street market in India last summer and haven’t really taken it off since. It’s a super soft Pashima (cashmere) blend and I wear it way too often.

UPDATE (several hours later):

I feel a little better about my corduroy and vest combination from a style point of view considering I just found this photo of France’s First Lady (not to mention former super model) Carla Bruni-Sarkozy wearing her own version of this: (and yes, she looks way better but we’re not talking about that)

Luffly.

Sunday.

Sparkle Calculator. Not pictured: sparkle pen. Asked my friend to get me it for my bday. She said she'll make me one.

Spinach tortellini, baguette sandwich, and a glossy tangerine. Good looking food.

Top half of necklace: sewn on sequins and seed beads with a cloth backing. Bottom half: Elegant/ thin chains. Perfect since I cant have metal touching my skin. This item definitely going on wishlist.

Necklace again. Obsessed a little, sorry. Love the detail.

Roller skate vase. You can't wear it. Still awesome, though.
