Cause you Can-can-can! (part 2 of Visitors!)

Good French food is so good it makes you freeze in mid-air, utter a long mmmmmmmmmm of enjoyment, and steal a bite off another’s plate. I find that food is not unlike fashion; there is always so many ways to describe it and often, but not always, the more it costs, the better it is!

Like Saks Fifth Avenue, the food from CanCan, located in Richmond Va, is just worth it. The quality, flavors and ability to make you savor every last drop/piece/bite are exquisite. On that note, many thanks to kind aunts who treated me to this dinner. Consider my bday/xmas/everything in between gift COVERED for the next decade.

The four of us, myself, mother, and 2 aunts each ordered some variation of seafood. Here’s mine:

Herb braised cod: polenta cake with piquillo peppers and shrimp etouffee with crispy onions.

We also had champagne and terrific almond creme brulee served with raspberry sorbet and banana sauce. Would have taken a picture of that but I was way too busy breaking the sugary brulee and pretending I was in Paris.

Sunday.

Sparkle Calculator. Not pictured: sparkle pen. Asked my friend to get me it for my bday. She said she'll make me one.

Spinach tortellini, baguette sandwich, and a glossy tangerine. Good looking food.

Top half of necklace: sewn on sequins and seed beads with a cloth backing. Bottom half: Elegant/ thin chains. Perfect since I cant have metal touching my skin. This item definitely going on wishlist.

Necklace again. Obsessed a little, sorry. Love the detail.

Roller skate vase. You can't wear it. Still awesome, though.
