Here’s to Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Taylor. February 27, 1932-March 23, 2011.

This woman was an icon in both the fashion and film industry. Blogs and magazines today are chirping about her life, style, and career, all of which were anything but boring. She was also married 7 times. When I learned this, I immediately thought of Zsa Zsa Gabor (another film icon during the 50′s) who has been married NINE times. I thought surely they’d be friends, but I haven’t been able to find even a photo of them together. Interestingly though, Zsa Zsa, who is 93, had a pretty violent physical reaction upon learning about Taylor’s death and was rushed to the hospital. Full story here.

It’s probably not nice to gossip on the day of someone’s death about possible and mysterious relationships. Maybe they were just too jealous of the other’s beauty to ever hang out. Maybe Elizabeth was jealous of Zsa Zsa’s hair/name. Maybe Zsa Zsa was afraid Taylor would steal her man. I never said I was nice.
