I love Vera Wang. She might be my favorite designer, if I was able to pick favorites. I don’t do well with superlatives… ususally.
But this week, after finding what I consider to be my BEST deal in my ENTIRE shopping history, I can proudly say I own my first Vera Wang!
It fits perfectly. Is this my life?!
I found it at Ashby, a sweet little consignment shop in Carytown in Richmond, VA that I’ve mentioned before.
Ready for the best part? It cost me $35.00. And yes, the decimal point is in the right place.
After a freaking amount of Google searches little browsing on the internet, I found my dress online and discovered it originally retailed for $1100.00. It’s 100% silk with a little bit of chiffon at the neckline. I don’t think it’s a gorgeous dress but I like how it looks and feels when it’s on and the dropped waist/mid calf hemline definitely make it different. What can say, once again my taste for ugly things surfaces.
